What is Guidance™?
The Guidance™ Frameworks are a family of integrated methodologies for data management, information assurance and cyber security, software development, quality assurance, systems integration and project management. We call them frameworks since they were designed to be tailored to a particular client engagement. Guidance™ does not promote a one-size-fits-all approach - rather, it combines industry best practices with common sense and professionalism.
Industry Best Practices in a Tailorable Set of Frameworks.
Guidance™ is strongly aligned to the Project Management Institute's Project Management Book of Knowledge (PMBOK), implementing industry best practices in project management in a flexible framework. The methodology can be configured towards either a waterfall approach or an agile, iterative approach to project management. In addition, we've built Guidance™ from the beginning along the CMMI model, and have worked with a CMMI-lead assessor to assure that Guidance™ complies with the model.
Common Sense.
Guidance™ is not a cookbook or a checklist - we don't follow a list and check things off for the sake of checking things off. The frameworks are intended to be used as toolkits, and we use just the tools that we need to flawlessly execute an engagement.
